Our Mission:

CLERC envisions a society that respects and values children and youth and recognizes them as significant participants in decisions that affect their lives. CLERC's mission is to provide legal support and services for children and youth and to engage in related education and research.

If you need help with criminal matters, contact the
Youth Criminal Defence Office

If you need legal help and are already involved with Children's Services contact the Alberta Children's Advocate.


Some questions young people ask CLERC

• My parents are separating. Will I have to go to court?
• I've left home. I need money. What are my legal rights?
• I'm new to Canada and my immigration papers are not correct. Is there anything I can do?

If you live in Alberta and are 19 years of age or younger, CLERC may be able to help you with your legal problems.
